Silvagrip is a patent pending manufactured metal peel and stick non skid grip, fabricated with the most sophisticated technical alloys. These alloys and metals hold a matrix of sharp grit, permanently, to the surface.

The grit is made up of the sharpest and hardest materials just under diamonds and include a matrix of tungsten carbides, alumina oxides (corundum), chromium, cubic zirconia and ceramics. The alloys can include aluminum, titanium, brass, bronze, nickel, copper and much more.
Silvagrip is very ductile and capable of being shaped or bent, but at the same time gives you the strongest and hardest surface for grip.
Regular griptape uses glue to hold the grit to the tape or cloth, whereas Silvagrip uses metal or alloys. Metal holds grit with a better bond. It’s not affected by heat or wear as much as griptape. The grip will not wear easily, as you may have experienced with griptape.
Silvagrip’s manufacturing process allows us to vary the grip for street skaters, that may want less grip, to the toughest grip that longboarders demand.
Many ask, “How grippy is it” So, we used a Laser to measure the roughness average (Ra formula below) versus other griptapes on the market. Silvagrip measured 16.38 Ra. Other griptapes on the market measured 11.31 and 8.72. The higher the number the rougher the surface. But, you choose the surface that’s right for you. The best grip for workboats is the Alum Ceramic. Longboarders like both the Carbide and Ceramic.
What’s most important is wear of the surface and how long it last. Silvagrip has a 10 year plus expectancy and could even be much longer.
